All the tutorials I’ve seen start with raw linseed oil. Would starting with boiled or refined work as well?

Thanks! As it’s already mid summer I’m hoping using refined linseed oil takes less time. Raw oil takes three months.

Refined linseed oil should have lighter color with less impurities that raw oil, so the resulting sun thickened oil will be lighter in color. Sun thickened oil tends to be a little yellow anyhow, so start with as clean and light an oil as possible. Enjoy!
