I live in Turkey and I need to paint now using non toxic materials. For cleaning brushes , I am using sunflower oil will this cause problems.
Drying and semi-drying vegetable oils can be used for rinsing brushes in lieu of hydrocarbon solvents or turpentine. When doing so, it is important not to introduce too much of this oil into the paint- wipe brushes after rinsing. Also, just as with solvents, it’s important to wash brushes after the day’s work is complete, using soap and water. These cautions are even more important if using non-drying mineral oil or baby oil for rinsing.
