In the picture above, hopefully you will se the haziness I am talking about. I don’t know if this is ok? It developed little spots of “opaque smudges” everywhere. The stand oil was not exposed to direct sunlight.
Another similar question is that W&N satin metacrylate-based varnish is expected to settle down, right? With this one I am not so much concerned because it has to be shaken well before use anyway.

The stand oil was not contaminated or adulterated as far as I know. Maybe it really is just a bad batch. Anyway, glad to hear that the varnish is ok.

Does your stand oil have any solvent in it? I have noticed that depending on the brand of stand oil, very highly refined odorless mineral spirits does not really thin stand oil without some turbidity. Other than that, I do not know what is going on here.
I am not positive what you meant about the varnish. Are you writing about the turbidity of the satin varnish because of the matting agent? If so, and if properly shaken, the resulting film should be clear.
The matting agents used in satin varnishes, in my experience, always form a sediment at the bottom in storage, and when stirred in, the varnish is never water-clear. On the picture, however, optical clarity is just fine.
Personally, I would probably discard that oil or return it to the place of purchase. Stand oil is a highly refined product with all of the mucilage and free fatty acids removed, and it should be quite clear in the bottle.
